Patriot Project
Chiropractic Treatment For Military Veterans
We at Whiplash Pain Center are proud to announce our involvement with the Patriot Project.
What is The Patriot Project?
The Patriot Project works to grant active military men and women, gold-star dependents, and wounded warriors chiropractic treatment in order to provide the care they need. Some military benefits include chiropractic care, but only to those who qualify. Other active military personnel, such as wounded warriors, are not eligible to receive these benefits, so they are limited in their healthcare options.
Many veteran programs cover drugs and surgery costs, but no chiropractic options that treat problems without drugs. Chiropractic care offers an alternative solution to drugs and surgery that promotes natural health for your body and well-being.
The Patriot Project’s goal is to open chiropractic opportunities for all wounded warriors, active military personnel, veterans, and their families.
On-field Care—The Patriot Project sends chiropractors on tour to treat active military men and women who desperately need chiropractic care. Some of the areas on the tour include bases from countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq.
Veterans Affairs Hospitals—One of the ways the Patriot Project is looking to provide these possibilities is by installing chiropractic services in VA Hospitals nationwide. This allows veterans easy access to chiropractic care just by visiting their local VA Hospital.
How Are We Getting Involved?
As participants of the Patriot Project, we pledge to serve one qualified Patriot Project patient per week. We believe that our military men and women deserve the utmost respect in return for serving our country.
In 2002, President George W. Bush signed Public Law 107-135 stating that wounded warriors have benefits for treatment of their injuries. In addition, gold-star dependents are able to get as much chiropractic care as they need. Dismissal of military benefits is an important matter and should involve the attention of your federal government representatives.
Dr. Shariff and Whiplash Pain Center at excited for this opportunity to participate in the Patriot Project. If you are active-duty personnel and live in Charleston, Summerville, South Carolina, or the surrounding areas, Dr. Shariff’s practice will serve you and your family to ensure that you have an exceptional chiropractic experience to restore your health.
